Everyone in gaming is talking about GTA 6. Backlit is the app that walks you, from absolute zero, through building a faceless channel around it: which videos to publish in which phase, and how to make them without your face or your own voice.
Independent app, not affiliated with or endorsed by Rockstar Games or Take-Two. Results depend on you and on the platforms, and aren't guaranteed.
Rockstar's official page says November 19, 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The videos worth making change around that date. Backlit tells you which, wherever you start.
Date source: Rockstar Games and Take-Two's filing, checked November 2026. If the official date moves, the phases in your app move with it.
Never uploaded a video? Good. The home screen is an ordered, checkable journey of 45 steps. Each one tells you exactly what to do, about how long it tends to take, what done looks like, and which official page to check when menus change. Your progress saves as you go.
Get the pathRockstar's published policy says Take-Two generally doesn't object to non-commercial fan use. It defines non-commercial like this:
"you don't make money through the game footage you post or use the material as part of a promotion for a product or service."
So a monetized channel built on raw gameplay sits outside that allowance, and Take-Two reserves the right to have its material taken down at any time. Backlit teaches original commentary and your own visuals, and shows you plainly where the risk starts. It won't teach you to re-upload other people's videos or flood a channel with AI spam, both of which YouTube's rules target. Read Rockstar's policy, and check the current text yourself. YouTube's monetization policies. Checked November 2026.
The person behind Backlit has been through this on their own channel. Here is a real 28-day snapshot from that channel's YouTube Studio: 116.4K views, 38.9K watch hours, 3.5K new subscribers and $561.90 in estimated revenue.

One channel, one period, March 2025. It is not a GTA 6 result and it is not typical of what a buyer should expect. Your results will depend on your content, your views and YouTube's approval, and they aren't guaranteed.

There's no way to promise that. You need views and Partner Program approval before ad revenue applies, and neither is in your control or ours. The estimator shows illustrations, not a promise. Results vary and aren't guaranteed.
We don't give a timeline, because no one can honestly give you one. The app shows the actual requirements, and YouTube's entry numbers for new applicants rise on February 1, 2027.
You don't need game footage to follow this path. If you choose to use it in a monetized video, you'd be outside Rockstar's non-commercial allowance, and you'd be relying on arguments like fair use, which are decided case by case. The app sets out the rules with sources. It isn't legal advice.
No. 141 ideas need no game. Map secrets and in-game guides do, and they're tagged so you can filter them out.
The later phases cover guides and long-life videos. Your calendar starts from whichever phase you're in on the day you begin.
No. AI voices are one of several options. If you use them, the app covers YouTube's disclosure rules. Generic mass-produced AI videos are exactly what YouTube's inauthentic content policy targets, and the app steers you away from them.
Neither. It's an app, and you're using the real thing in the demo above, with most of the content held back.
No. Backlit is independent, and isn't affiliated with or endorsed by Rockstar Games or Take-Two. GTA 6 is mentioned only to describe what the app covers. We use no official art or logos.
